FARZANEH FARZIN, MD
EDUCATION
Dr. Farzin received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in 1989. She received her medical degree in 1994 from Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Farzin also completed her internship in internal medicine and her residency in the department of radiation oncology at Hahnemann University Hospital, where she served as chief resident from 1998 to 1999.
AREAS OF SPECIAL INTEREST
Multidisciplinary management of breast cancer, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery. Dr. Farzin is also adjunct clinical faculty at Touro University in Nevada where she actively participates in the education and training of medical students who are performing radiation oncology rotations.
EXPERIENCE
Dr. Farzin joined Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada in 2000 as a radiation oncologist. Prior to that, she was the assistant professor at the department of radiation oncology at MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine. Her other experience includes her position as clinical service chief of the department of radiation at the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital. She also served as a member of the Multidisciplinary Breast Health Center while at the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital, as well as authored several chapters in books related to radiotherapeutic management of several cancers.
PERSONAL
Dr. Farzin is married and has one child. Her hobbies include music and hiking.
