EDUCATION
Dr. Curtis completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1977, earning his bachelor’s in chemistry with High Honors, High Distinction. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a James B. Angell Scholar. He received a Gomberg Research Scholarship in Chemistry and earned Class Honors from 1973-1977. Dr. Curtis earned his medical degree in 1981 at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 1984 and joined a private group Internal Medicine practice in Las Vegas from 1984- 1987. He then pursued Radiation Oncology training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from 1987-1990 passing his written and oral Board exams for his second Board Certification in Radiation Oncology in 1991.

EXPERIENCE
Dr. Curtis joined Nevada Radiation Oncology Centers in 1990 and was one of the founding members of Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada following the merger with Southwest Cancer Clinic in 2000. He has participated in Clinical Trials with the Nevada Cancer Research Foundation since 1990. He also started the Prostate Brachytherapy Program at Summerlin Hospital in 1998 and Intravascular Brachytherapy program in 2004 at Valley Hospital. Dr. Curtis pioneered and facilitated regular Cancer Conferences and Breast Cancer Conferences at Summerlin Hospital since 2002. In 2011, Dr. Curtis was named a Top Doctor in the specialty of Radiation Oncology by US News & World Report.
PERSONAL
Dr. Curtis and his wife, Patricia, have one daughter, Brittany. Dr. Curtis enjoys downhill skiing, physical fitness training, hiking, fishing, traveling and fine restaurants.
