LAWRENCE D. GARDNER, MD, FRCS (C), FACS

EDUCATION
Dr. Gardner received his medical degree from the University of Toronto in Canada. His surgical residency included four years at the University of Calgary, Calgary Alberta and one year of residency at Birmingham Accident Hospital, Birmingham England and the Devonport Section of the Plymouth General Hospital in Plymouth England.

EXPERIENCE
Dr. Gardner has been in surgical practice in Las Vegas since 1975. His practice is devoted exclusively to breast care with special emphasis on breast cancer prevention and treatment. He is one of the founders and Medical Director of The Breast Center at Sunrise, which is certified as a Quality Participant by the National Consortium of Breast Centers and is the first comprehensive breast center in Nevada.

Dr. Gardner frequently lectures locally and nationally on breast care topics. He moderates didactic interdisciplinary grand rounds at The Breast Center at Sunrise. He participates weekly in the multidisciplinary case conferences at The Breast Center at Sunrise, where all cases of newly diagnosed breast cancer are presented to a large community of breast specialists for a comprehensive management plan.
