ANN M. WIERMAN, M.D., FACP

EDUCATION
Dr. Wierman received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Her internal medicine internship and residency were at Baylor College of Medicine where she was also the Chief Medical Resident at Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston from 1992-1993. She completed her fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Colorado – Health Sciences Center in Denver in 1996.

EXPERIENCE
Dr. Wierman has been in private practice in Las Vegas since 1996 and joined Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada in 2009. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and Section Chief of Hematology/Oncology for Mountain View Hospital. She is a past Chief of Staff and Chief of Medicine at Summerlin Hospital.

Dr. Wierman has co-authored numerous abstracts and peer-reviewed publications and served as Principal Investigator for several research studies. She is a frequent guest speaker for local television and actively participates in cancer and blood conferences, often as the lecturer.

PERSONAL
In her spare time, Dr. Wierman enjoys hiking, traveling and cycling.
