Message from Dr. Allen
As a hematologist/oncologist, I understand
the importance of having a safe and adequate blood supply. Every
day blood is required to save the lives of accident victims, patients
with cancer and other diseases, as well as
those undergoing routine surgeries. None of us know when ourselves,
or someone we know, might be the next one needing a blood transfusion.
Let
Cancer Patients Work by Dr. Allison
Those of us who have chosen a career in cancer
care have seen the impact of serious illness on the lives of courageous
people. That's why I am writing this in recognition of Breast Cancer
Awareness Month - for those who have breast cancer and for those
who will be diagnosed.
Early
Stages of Prostate Cancer by Dr. Curtis
Prostate cancer remains, regardless of race,
the most common malignancy diagnosed in American men. More than
180,000 men in the United States are initially diagnosed and more
than 40,000 will die of the disease. These statistics make it the
second most common cancer killer of U.S. men after Lung cancer.

Message from Dr. Meoz
In May of 2000, Southwest Cancer Clinic and
Nevada Radiation Oncology Centers merged into one group, driven
by the knowledge that in order to conquer one common enemy (cancer),
we must unite. Cancer is not a disease that can be treated with
a single modality. If a practice is to succeed in the fight
against cancer, several specialists must converge on the patient.
