Matthew W. Schwartz, M.D.

EDUCATION:
Dr. Schwartz attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for his undergraduate studies. In May 1996, he graduated with a major in cell and molecular biology. Dr. Schwartz received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Reno, Nevada in 2001. He completed his internship in 2002 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His residency was completed in radiation oncology in 2006 at McGill University Health Center, where he was chief resident.

AREAS OF SPECIAL INTEREST:
Prostate Cancer, Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Gastrointestinal Cancer, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, Head and Neck Cancer, and Gynecologic Cancer.

EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Schwartz joined Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada in July 2006. He has authored/co-authored several scientific papers and has been a speaker at conferences in the field of radiation therapy.

PERSONAL:
Dr. Schwartz and his wife have two daughters. He enjoys going to the gym, skiing, traveling and spending time with his family.
