EDUCATION:
After graduating summa cum laude in biology in 1997, Dr. Nguyen stayed to receive his medical degree from the
University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine in 2001. Following his internal medicine training, he completed his
hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the NCI-designated Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at the
University of California, Irvine Medical Center.

EXPERIENCE:
While at the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of California, Irvine he was awarded the
Amgen Fellowship for translation cancer research. There, he was actively involved in both basic science and clinical
research. He has served as a co-investigator in multiple clinical trials and has authored/co-authored peer reviewed
articles and abstracts. Dr. Nguyen joined the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada in 2007.
PERSONAL:
Dr. Nguyen enjoys the outdoors, especially traveling to different countries. Here at home in Henderson, he enjoys
hiking, mountain biking and saltwater aquariums. Dr. Nguyen and his wife have one son.
