Ronald Kline, M.D. is a board certified pediatric hematologist-oncologist and pediatric
bone marrow transplant physician. He has served on the board of trustees of the Clark
County Medical Society since 2003 and was president in 2005-06. He has been
Secretary of the Nevada State Medical Association since 2006 and Alternate Delegate
from Southern Nevada to the American Medical Association House of Delegates since
2008. He has been very active in the community-wide discussion about creating an
academic medical center in Clark County, and chaired the advisory body to the Regent’s
committee on the topic, as well as being a member of the selection committee for
the UNR president in 2006. He is a graduate of Leadership Las Vegas (2004) and
Leadership Henderson (2008). He has been active in organizing “Health Day” for
Leadership Las Vegas since 2005. He is also a board member of the Sunrise Children’s
Foundation and the newly formed Nevada World Affairs Council.
Ron Kline is the author of 18 scientific articles, as well as the editor of a recently
published book on pediatric bone marrow transplantation. He is a native of Southern
California, receiving his undergraduate and medical degrees from UCLA. His postgraduate
clinical training was at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and UCSF. In addition, he
completed a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, publishing work on
the immunotherapy of cancer. He is a physician/shareholder in Comprehensive Cancer
Centers of Nevada and has resided in Las Vegas for six years.
He has been married for over seventeen years to his wife Rachel.
They have two children, Danny and Ariel. His hobbies include
skiing, scuba diving, photography and sailing.
