EDUCATION:
Dr. Galsky received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He subsequently completed an internship and residency program in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. His fellowship in Medical Oncology/Hematology was completed at the prestigious Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. During his fellowship, he was elected to serve as the Chief Medical Oncology Fellow.
AREAS OF SPECIAL INTEREST:
Dr. Galsky has received comprehensive training in medical oncology and hematology, but also holds special interest and expertise in the care of patients with genitourinary cancers (prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancer.) While a faculty member at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, he held an appointment on the Genitourinary Oncology staff and conducted clinical research involving the development of novel treatment strategies for these cancers.
At Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, Dr. Galsky has continued his involvement in clinical research and has become an active member of the US Oncology Genitourinary Research Committee.
EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Galsky joined Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada in August 2006. Prior to that, he was a faculty member at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He has authored/co-authored numerous peer reviewed articles, book chapters, and abstracts and has spoken at several national meetings. He has been active in the field of clinical research and has served as principal investigator on numerous clinical trials.
