EDUCATION:
Dr. Curtis completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1977, graduating with High Honors, High Distinction with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. He was a Phi Beta Kappa, a James B. Angell Scholar, received a Gomberg Research Scholarship in Chemistry, receiving Class Honors 1973-1977. Dr. Curtis received his Medical Degree in 1981 at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and went on to complete his Internal Medicine Boards. Immediately following he went into private group practice in Internal Medicine in Las Vegas from 1984-1987. He then pursued Radiation Oncology training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1987-1990 passing his written and oral Board exams for his second Board Certification in Radiation Oncology in 1991.

Clinical oncology, cardiovascular radiation medicine, breast cancer treatment & prostate brachytherapy

EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Curtis joined Nevada Radiation Oncology Centers in 1990. The group is now called Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada. Prior to his radiation oncology training, he spent three years in private practice in Internal Medicine in Las Vegas. At the University of Medical Center Hospital, he had a volunteer faculty appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine.

PERSONAL:
Dr. Curtis and his wife, Patricia, have one daughter, Brittany. Dr. Curtis enjoys downhill skiing, physical fitness training, hiking, fishing, traveling and fine restaurants.
